Los británicos Mumford & Sons, con sus gramófonos
El Staples Center de Los Angeles acogió anoche la 55 edición de los Premios Grammy, donde The Black Keys fueron los grandes triunfadores de la noche en número de premios, seguidos de cerca por Gotye, Skrillex, Jay Z y Kanye West pero fueron Mumford & Sons quienes, como quien no quiere la cosa, se acabaron llevando el premio a Disco del Año por Babel.
Fue una noche con muchas, muchas actuaciones, juntando sobre el escenario a Rihanna, Sting, Bruno Mars y Ziggy y Damian Marley para homenajear a Bob Marley o a un buen puñado de músicos jóvenes (Mumford & Sons, Alabama Shakes) y veteranos (Elton John, Mavis Staples) para recordar a Levon Helm. Algunas actuaciones casi incendiaron el Staples Center (las de The Black Keys y Jack White) y otras resultaron en considerables bajones en el ritmo de la gala, aunque no menos emocionante para el público, con una destacada presencia del country. Aunque, en general, los Grammy 2013 intentaron cubrir todos los estilos musicales, como es de recibo en una fiesta de la música de estas características. Y sin necesidad de contar con Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber o Nicki Minaj.
